EFFECT SNOW ADVISORY...WHICH IS IN EFFECT FROM 1 PM WEDNESDAY TO
7 PM EST THURSDAY.

* LOCATIONS...PORTIONS OF CENTRAL NEW YORK.

* HAZARD TYPES...LAKE EFFECT SNOW.

* ACCUMULATIONS...SNOW ACCUMULATION OF 4 TO 8 INCHES WEDNESDAY
  AFTERNOON THROUGH WEDNESDAY NIGHT. ANOTHER 4 TO 6 INCHES
  POSSIBLE ON THURSDAY.

* TIMING...SNOW SHOWERS AND SQUALLS DEVELOPING WEDNESDAY
  AFTERNOON... THEN BANDS OF LAKE EFFECT SNOW WEDNESDAY NIGHT AND
  THURSDAY.

* IMPACTS...HAZARDOUS TRAVEL.

* WINDS...WEST 10 TO 20 MP H WITH GUSTS TO 30 MPH.

* TEMPERATURES...IN THE LOWER 30S WEDNESDAY AFTERNOON... FALLING
  TO THE UPPER TEENS WEDNESDAY NIGHT AND HOLDING AROUND 20 ON
  THURDSAY.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A LAKE EFFECT SNOW ADVISORY MEANS LAKE EFFECT SNOW IS FORECAST
THAT WILL MAKE TRAVEL DIFFICULT IN SOME AREAS. LAKE EFFECT SNOW
SHOWERS TYPICALLY ALIGN THEMSELVES IN BANDS AND WILL LIKELY BE
INTENSE ENOUGH TO DROP SEVERAL INCHES IN LOCALIZED AREAS.
