RESUMEN DEL ESTADO DEL TIEMPO PARA PUERTO RICO
SERVICIO NACIONAL DE METEOROLOGIA SAN JUAN PR
424 PM AST VIERNES 5 DE FEBRERO DE 2016

AGUACEROS BREVES SE MOVIERON HACIA EL SUR A TRAVES DE LA ISLA
TEMPRANO ESTA MANANA...PERO LOS VIENTOS SE TORNARON GRADUALMENTE DEL
OESTE Y AGUACEROS COMENZARON A DESARROLLARSE SOBRE EL OESTE DE
PUERTO RICO ALREDEDOR DEL MEDIO DIA. LUEGO...A MEDIDA QUE EL SOL
CONTINUO CALENTANDO LA TIERRA...BRISAS MARINAS Y AGUACEROS SE
DESARROLLARON SOBRE EL NORTE DE LAS MONTANAS DEL OESTE DE PUERTO
RICO. ALGUNAS AREAS COSTERAS DEL NORTE Y OESTE RECIBIERON HASTA
MEDIA PULGADA DE LLUVIA DE ACUERDO AL RADAR. EN SAN JUAN SOLO SE
REPORTO UNA TRAZA.

LA BAJA PRESION QUE TRAJO AIRE MAS FRESCO A LA ISLA DURANTE
PRINCIPIOS DE ESTA SEMANA CONTINUA MOVIENDOSE HACIA EL OESTE
NOROESTE Y DISIPANDOSE. VIENTOS DEL SURESTE REGRESARAN MANANA. EL
CIELO ESTARA MAYORMENTE DESPEJADO EN LA MANANA PERO LAS NUBES SE
DESARROLLARAN DURANTE EL DIA A MEDIDA QUE LA HUMEDAD Y EL CALOR
DIURNO GENEREN AGUACEROS DISPERSOS...MAYORMENTE SOBRE EL NOROESTE DE
LA ISLA. EL TIEMPO ESTARA MAS CALIDO MANANA CON TEMPERATURAS MAXIMAS
ENTRE LOS MEDIOS A ALTOS 80S EN LAS AREAS BAJAS.

A TRAVES DE LAS AGUAS COSTERAS...SE ESPERA OLEAJE HASTA 7 PIES EN
LAS AGUAS MAR AFUERA DEL ATLANTICO Y EL PASAJE DE ANEGADA...PERO SE
ANTICIPA QUE DISMINUYA TEMPRANO ESTA NOCHE. LOS VIENTOS ESTARAN
LEVES HASTA LA MEDIA MANANA DEL SABADO...LUEGO SE ESPERAN VIENTOS
DEL SURESTE DE HASTA 12 NUDOS. UN RIESGO DE MODERADO A ALTO DE
CORRIENTES SUBMARINAS A LO LARGO DE LAS PLAYAS DEL NOROESTE Y
NORESTE AL IGUAL QUE LAS PLAYAS DEL SURESTE Y A LO LARGO DE LAS

424 PM AST FRI FEB 5 2016

BRIEF SHOWERS MOVED SOUTH ACROSS THE ISLAND EARLY THIS
MORNING...BUT WINDS SHIFTED SLOWLY TO THE WEST AND SHOWERS BEGAN
TO FORM OVER WESTERN PUERTO RICO AROUND MIDDAY. THEN...AS THE SUN
WARMED THE LAND...SEA BREEZES DEVELOPED AND SHOWERS FORMED OVER
THE NORTHERN FOOTHILLS AND RIDGES OF THE MOUNTAINS IN WESTERN
PUERTO RICO. A FEW PLACES INLAND FROM THE NORTH AND WEST COASTS
RECEIVED UP TO HALF AN INCH ACCORDING TO RADAR. BUT PLACES LIKE
SAN JUAN...THAT WERE MISSED...HAD ONLY A TRACE.

THE LOW THAT BROUGHT THE COOLER AIR TO THE ISLAND EARLIER THIS
WEEK CONTINUES TO MIGRATE TO THE WEST NORTHWEST AND DISSIPATE.
WINDS WILL BACK AROUND TO THE SOUTHEAST TOMORROW. SKIES WILL BE
MOSTLY CLEAR IN THE MORNING BUT CLOUDS WILL DEVELOP DURING THE DAY
WHEN MOISTURE AND HEATING GENERATE SCATTERED SHOWERS...MAINLY IN
THE NORTHWEST PART OF THE ISLAND. IT WILL BE NOTICEABLY WARMER
TOMORROW WITH HIGHS IN THE MID TO UPPER 80S IN THE LOWER
ELEVATIONS.

ACROSS THE COASTAL WATERS...SEAS UP TO 7 FEET ARE EXPECTED IN THE
OUTER ATLANTIC WATERS AND THE ANEGADA PASSAGE...BUT ARE EXPECTED
TO DIMINISH EARLY IN THE EVENING. WINDS WILL BE RATHER LIGHT UNTIL
MID MORNING SATURDAY...THEN SOUTHEAST WINDS UP TO 12 KNOTS ARE
