Weather Summary for Puerto Rico
National Weather Service San Juan PR
321 PM AST THU MAY 26 2016

Mostly sunny skies prevailed across Puerto Rico during the
morning hours...becoming partly cloudy in the afternoon. The
Doppler weather radar indicated only isolated showers mostly
along and south of Cordillera Central. Limited shower activity
was detected elsewhere across the local islands and surrounding
waters so far this afternoon. Coastal temperatures were in the
upper 80s.

A generally fair and mainly stable weather pattern will continue
to prevail across the local islands through Friday...as a ridge
pattern aloft continues to hold across the forecast area.
However...locally induced showers and a couple of thunderstorms
cant be ruled out each day across western Puerto Rico. The
potential for shower and thunderstorm development will increase
during the upcoming weekend as the ridge aloft erodes and moisture
increases across the eastern Caribbean. Some urban and small
stream flooding will be possible then.

Winds around 15 knots and seas up to 5 feet can be expected across
the local waters of Puerto Rico. Tranquil marine conditions will
continue to prevail during the next few days. A moderate risk of
rip currents will continue across much of Puerto Rico...Vieques
and Culebra...except along the western coast.
