THERE IS A CHANCE FOR THUNDERSTORMS TUESDAY AFTERNOON AND NIGHT...
AS WELL AS WEDNESDAY AFTERNOON AND EVENING...WHEN AN UPPER LEVEL
SYSTEM MOVES INTO THE REGION. STORMS ARE NOT ANTICIPATED TO BECOME
SEVERE...BUT A STRONG STORM OR TWO IS POSSIBLE WITH GUSTY WINDS AND
SMALL HAIL TUESDAY AFTERNOON AND EVENING.

GUSTY WINDS ARE LIKELY ACROSS MUCH OF THE AREA TUESDAY THROUGH
THURSDAY...ESPECIALLY DURING THE LATE MORNING THROUGH EARLY EVENING
HOURS. THE STRONGEST WINDS ARE EXPECTED TO BE ON THURSDAY...BEHIND

GUSTY NORTHWEST WINDS WILL COMBINE WITH A DRY AIR MASS AND VERY
DRY VEGETATION TO PRODUCE DANGEROUS FIRE CONDITIONS THROUGHOUT
THE AREA  THIS AFTERNOON. THE STRONGEST WINDS WILL BE ALONG AND
EAST OF THE JAMES RIVER VALLEY...WHERE FIRE DANGER WILL BE IN THE
EXTREME CATEGORY. AREAS WEST OF THE JAMES RIVER VALLEY IN SOUTH
CENTRAL SOUTH DAKOTA WILL SEE VERY HIGH FIRE DANGER THIS
AFTERNOON. STRONGLY CONSIDER POSTPONING ANY DEBRIS BURNING.

AGAIN ON TUESDAY...GENERALLY WEST OF A LINE FROM VERMILLION TO
SALEM TO HURON SOUTH DAKOTA. STRONG WINDS COULD ALSO PRODUCE
ELEVATED FIRE DANGER THROUGHOUT THE AREA ON WEDNESDAY...THOUGH
HIGHER HUMIDITY LEVELS MAY KEEP THE FIRE DANGER A LITTLE LOWER.

A FEW LINGERING SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS EAST OF HIGHWAY 60 IN
NORTHWEST IOWA AND SOUTHWEST MINNESOTA WILL EXIT THE AREA EARLY
THIS MORNING. THESE STORMS WILL NOT BE SEVERE.

FIRE DANGER...
GUSTY NORTHWEST WINDS WILL COMBINE WITH A DRY AIR MASS AND VERY

THE BREEZY WINDS WILL RESULT IN EXTREME FIRE DANGER. A RED FLAG
