BRINGING WIDESPREAD RAIN TO THE CENTRAL APPALACHIANS. RAINFALL
AMOUNTS VARIED FROM MORE THAN 2 INCHES ACROSS THE NORTH CAROLINA
MOUNTAINS...TO A FEW TENTHS OF AN INCH ACROSS PORTIONS OF THE
SOUTHSIDE...AS WELL AS IN SOUTHEAST WEST VIRGINIA. WINDS SHIFTED
SOUTHWESTERLY DURING THE NIGHT...WHICH HELPED MAINTAIN VERY MILD
TEMPERATURES. 5 AM TEMPERATURES VARIED FROM THE MID 40S TO AROUND
60 ACROSS THE REGION.

.FORECAST SUMMARY...
GUSTY SOUTHWEST WINDS CAN BE EXPECTED TODAY...BRINGING CLEARING
SKIES AND UNSEASONABLY MILD TEMPERATURES TO THE REGION. AFTERNOON
HIGH TEMPERATURES WILL RANGE FROM THE LOW AND MID 60S ACROSS THE
WESTERN RIDGES...TO THE MID 70S ACROSS THE SOUTHSIDE. A COLD
FRONT WILL MOVE THROUGH LATE TONIGHT INTO TUESDAY...BRINGING A
GRADUAL RETURN OF COLDER AIR OVER THE NEXT FEW DAYS.
