TONIGHT...CROSSING THE MID ATLANTIC SATURDAY...BEFORE STRENGTHENING
OFFSHORE SATURDAY NIGHT AND MOVING NORTHEAST UP THE ATLANTIC COAST
ON SUNDAY. RAIN SHOWERS ALONG WITH SOME SNOW SHOWERS FOR THE HIGHER
ELEVATIONS IN WEST VIRGINIA WILL ACCOMPANY THIS SYSTEM. COLD AND
BLUSTERY CONDITIONS WILL FILL IN BEHIND THE LOW SATURDAY AND SUNDAY
BEFORE HIGH PRESSURE BRINGS MODERATING TEMPERATURES THROUGH THE
FIRST HALF OF THE WORKWEEK.

LOW TEMPERATURES ON FRIDAY MORNING RANGED FROM THE MID 20S AT
BURKES GARDEN VIRGINIA...TO THE UPPER 30S AT MOUNT AIRY NORTH
CAROLINA. A LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM APPROACHED THE OHIO RIVER VALLEY
DURING THE DAY...WHICH BROUGHT INCREASING CLOUDS FOR THE MID
ATLANTIC. A FEW LIGHT RAIN SHOWERS REACHED THE WESTERN MOUNTAINS
BY THE AFTERNOON. HIGH TEMPERATURES VARIED FROM THE MID 40S AT
BLUEFIELD WEST VIRGINIA...TO THE MID 50S AT DANVILLE VIRGINIA.

.FORECAST SUMMARY...
A LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM WILL CROSS OVER THE MID ATLANTIC
TONIGHT...AND BRING SCATTERED RAIN SHOWERS. HOWEVER...COLDER AIR
WILL ALSO ARRIVE OVERNIGHT...AND CHANGE THE RAIN TO SNOW WEST OF
THE BLUE RIDGE BY SATURDAY MORNING...WHILE MAINLY RAIN REMAINS
OVER THE PIEDMONT. NORTHWEST WINDS WILL INCREASE LATER IN THE DAY
THROUGH SATURDAY NIGHT...WHILE A MIX OF RAIN AND SNOW SHOWERS
CONTINUES IN THE MOUNTAINS. BY SUNDAY...HIGH PRESSURE WILL ARRIVE
TO BRING MILDER AND DRIER CONDITIONS FOR EARLY NEXT WEEK.
