EN LA MANANA A TRAVES DE PUERTO RICO...VIEQUES Y CULEBRA. EL RADAR
DOPPLER DETECTO AGUACEROS DISPERSOS SOBRE EL ESTE Y SURESTE DE
PUERTO RICO Y A TRAVES DE LAS AGUAS COSTERAS. LOS VIENTOS FUERON DEL
ESTE SURESTE DE 10 Y 15 MPH CON RAFAGAS MAS FUERTES CERCA DE LOS
AGUACEROS. LAS TEMPERATURAS ESTUVIERON EN LOS ALTOS 70S HASTA LOS
80 GRADOS A TRAVES DE LAS AREAS BAJAS.

NUBOSIDAD Y AGUACEROS AUMENTARON DURANTE LA NOCHE A MEDIDA QUE UN
AREA DE HUMEDAD EN LOS NIVELES BAJOS ASOCIADA CON UN AREA DE
CONVERGENCIA SE MOVIO A TRAVES DE LA REGION. DEBIDO AL MOVIMIENTO
RAPIDO DE LOS AGUACEROS...LAS CANTIDADES TOTALES DE LLUVIA ASOCIADOS
CON ESTA ACTIVIDAD FUERON GENERALMENTE MINIMAS. TARDE ESTA NOCHE Y
LUNES...UNA MASA DE AIRE MAS SECO SE MOVERA SOBRE LA REGION
LOCAL...LIMITANDO EL DESARROLLO DE AGUACEROS. SIN EMBARGO...SE
ESPERA QUE LA HUMEDAD DISPONIBLE SE COMBINE CON EL CALOR DIURNO Y
LOS EFECTOS LOCALES ESTA TARDE PARA INDUCIR AGUACEROS DISPERSOS Y

WEATHER SUMMARY FOR PUERTO RICO

PARTLY CLOUDY SKIES PREVAILED DURING THE OVERNIGHT AND EARLY
MORNING HOURS ACROSS PUERTO RICO...VIEQUES AND CULEBRA. DOPPLER
WEATHER RADAR DETECTED SCATTERED SHOWERS OVER EASTERN AND
SOUTHEASTERN SECTIONS SECTIONS OF PUERTO RICO AND ACROSS THE
COASTAL WATERS. WINDS WERE FROM EAST SOUTHEAST AT 10 TO 15 MPH
WITH HIGHER GUSTS NEAR SHOWERS. TEMPERATURES WERE IN THE UPPER 70S
TO 80 DEGREES AT THE LOWER ELEVATIONS.

CLOUDINESS AND SHOWERS INCREASED OVERNIGHT AS AN AREA OF LOW
LEVEL MOISTURE ASSOCIATED WITH A CONVERGENCE ZONE MOVED ACROSS THE
REGION. DUE TO THE RAPID MOVEMENT OF THE SHOWERS THE TOTAL
RAINFALL AMOUNTS ASSOCIATED WITH THIS ACTIVITY WERE GENERALLY
MINIMAL. LATE TODAY INTO MONDAY...A MUCH DRIER AIR MASS WILL MOVE
OVER THE LOCAL REGION...LIMITING THE SHOWER DEVELOPMENT.
HOWEVER...THE AVAILABLE MOISTURE IS EXPECTED TO COMBINE WITH
DAYTIME HEATING AND LOCAL EFFECTS THIS AFTERNOON TO INDUCE
SCATTERED SHOWERS AND A FEW THUNDERSTORMS OVER WESTERN AND
INTERIOR SECTIONS OF PUERTO RICO.

ACROSS THE COASTAL WATERS...MARINERS WILL FIND SEAS AT 6 FEET OR
LESS EXCEPT IN THE OFFSHORE ATLANTIC AND CARIBBEAN WATERS AS WELL

WEATHER SUMMARY FOR PUERTO RICO
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE SAN JUAN PR
502 AM AST SUN JUN 28 2015

ACROSS THE COASTAL WATERS...MARINERS WILL FIND SEAS AT 6 FEET OR
LESS EXCEPT IN THE OFFSHORE ATLANTIC AND CARIBBEAN WATERS AS WELL
AS THE LOCAL PASSAGES WHERE SEAS WILL RISE UP TO 7 FEET. WINDS
WILL BE BETWEEN 15 AND 20 KNOTS IN EXPOSED WATERS. THEREFORE...MARINERS
WILL NEED TO EXERCISE CAUTION ACROSS MOST OF THE LOCAL WATERS AND
A SMALL CRAFT ADVISORY IS IN EFFECT FOR THE OFFSHORE ATLANTIC AND
CARIBBEAN WATERS AS WELL AS THE LOCAL PASSAGES.
