DAKOTA. THESE COMBINED LOWS WILL MOVE EAST ACROSS THE PLAINS SATURDAY
WITH A BROAD AREA OF CLOUD COVER AND WINTRY MIXED PRECIPITATION
AFFECTING THE UPPER MIDWEST. SNOW AND SLEET WILL BE THE MAIN
HAZARDS OVER NORTHERN MINNESOTA SATURDAY MORNING...WITH A MIX OF
FREEZING RAIN AND RAIN FARTHER SOUTH. AS TEMPERATURES WARM DURING
THE DAY SATURDAY...PRECIPITATION WILL CHANGE TO ALL RAIN. DRIER
CONDITIONS AND WARMER TEMPERATURES ARE EXPECTED FOR SUNDAY AS A
RIDGE OF HIGH PRESSURE BUILDS INTO THE REGION. HIGH TEMPERATURES
ON SATURDAY WILL CLIMB INTO THE LOW 40S OVER CENTRAL UPPER MICHIGAN...TO

LATE THIS EVENING. THIS SYSTEM WILL GRADUALLY MERGE WITH ANOTHER
LOW OVER SOUTHERN SASKATCHEWAN TONIGHT AND EARLY SATURDAY MORNING.
THE COMBINED LOWS WILL MOVE ACROSS THE CANADIAN PRAIRIES SATURDAY
WITH A BROAD AREA OF CLOUD COVER AND WINTRY MIXED PRECIPITATION
IMPACTING THE UPPER MIDWEST. SNOW AND SLEET WILL BE THE MAIN
HAZARDS OVER NORTHERN MINNESOTA OVERNIGHT AND SATURDAY...WITH A
MIX OF FREEZING RAIN AND RAIN FARTHER SOUTH. AS TEMPERATURES WARM

NORTHERN PLAINS AND UPPER MIDWEST TONIGHT AND SATURDAY.
PRECIPITATION IS LIKELY ACROSS NORTH DAKOTA AND NORTHERN MINNESOTA
TONIGHT...AND ACROSS MUCH OF MINNESOTA AND NORTHERN WISCONSIN
SATURDAY. THE PRECIPITATION SHOULD BE RAIN FOR MUCH OF THE
REGION...EXCEPT ACROSS NORTH CENTRAL AND NORTHEAST MINNESOTA WHERE
THERE WILL BE A PERIOD OF SNOW AND FREEZING RAIN LATE TONIGHT AND
SATURDAY MORNING. TRAVEL COULD BE DIFFICULT DUE TO SNOW COVERED AND
SLIPPERY ROADS.

LOW TEMPERATURES TONIGHT WILL RANGE FROM THE LOWER 20S OVER THE
UPPER PENINSULA OF MICHIGAN TO THE UPPER 40S OVER EASTERN SOUTH

REGION DRY TODAY. WHILE LIGHT WINDS ARE EXPECTED FOR MOST OF THE
UPPER MIDWEST...STRONG SOUTHEAST WINDS WILL DEVELOP IN WESTERN
MINNESOTA AND THE DAKOTAS AS LOW PRESSURE DEVELOPS IN THE HIGH
PLAINS. HIGH TEMPERATURES WILL BE IN THE 50S ACROSS THE EASTERN
DAKOTAS...WESTERN AND SOUTHERN MINNESOTA...AND SOUTHERN WISCONSIN.
CENTRAL AND NORTHEAST MINNESOTA...AND NORTHERN WISCONSIN WILL SEE
HIGHS IN THE 40S.

A RIDGE OF HIGH PRESSURE OVER THE UPPER MIDWEST LATE THIS EVENING
WILL SLOWLY DRIFT EASTWARD OVERNIGHT. CLOUDS WILL MOVE ACROSS THE
DAKOTAS AND INTO MINNESOTA TONIGHT AND FRIDAY. THERE IS A CHANCE
OF A SPRINKLE OVER SOUTHWESTERN MINNESOTA OVERNIGHT. AN AREA OF
LOW PRESSURE IS FORECAST TO DEVELOP OVER EASTERN MONTANA FRIDAY
NIGHT WITH A WARM FRONT EXTENDING EASTWARD ACROSS NORTHERN
MINNESOTA. THE FRONT WILL BE THE FOCUS FOR A CHANCE OF RAIN OR
WINTRY MIXED PRECIPITATION FOR NORTHERN MINNESOTA. THE LOW WILL
QUICKLY MOVE ACROSS THE CANADIAN PRAIRIES KEEPING A CHANCE OF
RAIN...AND POSSIBLY A RUMBLE OF THUNDER...OVER NORTHERN MINNESOTA
SATURDAY. A WEAK RIDGE WILL NOSE INTO THE REGION BEHIND THE
DEPARTING LOW ON SUNDAY BRINGING SUNNIER AND QUIETER CONDITIONS.

LOWS TONIGHT WILL RANGE FROM THE MIDDLE TEENS OVER NORTHEASTERN
MINNESOTA...TO THE LOW 30S OVER EASTERN SOUTH DAKOTA. TEMPERATURES

TONIGHT. HIGH PRESSURE WILL MOVE IN FROM THE NORTHWEST BRINGING A
DRY DAY ON FRIDAY. A LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM WILL MOVE IN FROM THE
NORTHERN PLAINS ON FRIDAY NIGHT THAT WILL BRING PRECIPITATION TO
EASTERN NORTH DAKOTA AND NORTHWESTERN MINNESOTA.

LOW TEMPERATURES TONIGHT WILL RANGE FROM THE UPPER TEENS OVER
NORTHERN MINNESOTA TO THE MID 30S OVER SOUTHEASTERN WISCONSIN. HIGHS
ON FRIDAY WILL RANGE FROM THE UPPER 30S OVER THE UPPER PENINSULA OF
MICHIGAN TO THE LOWER 60S OVER EASTERN SOUTH DAKOTA. LOWS ON FRIDAY
NIGHT WILL RANGE FROM THE MID 20S OVER THE UPPER PENINSULA OF

A STRONG STORM SYSTEM WAS MOVING THROUGH WEST CENTRAL WISCONSIN
EARLY THIS MORNING...AND IT WILL MOVE NORTHEAST THROUGH CENTRAL
WISCONSIN AND INTO UPPER PENINSULA MICHIGAN TODAY. SNOW WAS
FALLING OVER MUCH OF NORTHERN WISCONSIN...THE ARROWHEAD OF
MINNESOTA...AND UPPER PENINSULA MICHIGAN HAD SNOW FALLING OVER THE
REGION. MUCH OF WESTERN MINNESOTA AND THE EASTERN DAKOTAS HAD
CLEAR SKIES HIGH PRESSURE MOVED INTO THE REGION IN THE WAKE OF THE
PASSING STORM SYSTEM.

THE SNOW OVER NORTHERN WISCONSIN AND THE LAKE SUPERIOR REGION WILL
GRADUALLY DIMINISH AND SHIFT TO THE NORTH AND EAST TODAY WITH THE
EXITING STORM SYSTEM. AN ADDITIONAL COUPLE TO SEVERAL INCHES OF
SNOW ARE POSSIBLE ACROSS THE UPPER PENINSULA OF MICHIGAN. THERE
WILL BE INCREASING MOSTLY TO PARTLY SUNNY SKIES FROM THE WEST AND
THE HIGH PRESSURE CONTINUES TO BUILD INTO THE REGION. NORTHERLY
WINDS OF ABOUT 10 TO 15 MPH ARE EXPECTED ACROSS THE REGION TODAY.
HIGH TEMPERATURES SHOULD RANGE FROM THE MID 30S TO LOW 40S FOR
MUCH OF THE REGION.

MINNESOTA...FAR NORTHERN WISCONSIN AND THE UPPER PENINSULA OF
MICHIGAN THROUGH THURSDAY EVENING.

LOW TEMPERATURES TONIGHT WILL RANGE FROM THE MID TEENS OVER FAR
NORTHERN MINNESOTA TO THE UPPER 30S OVER SOUTHEASTERN WISCONSIN.
