...A FLASH FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 945 AM CDT FOR
MONTGOMERY COUNTY...

AT 718 AM CDT...LIGHT RAIN CONTINUES...BUT THE THUNDERSTORMS WITH
HEAVY RAIN HAVE EXITED THE WARNED AREA. RADAR AND OBSERVATIONS SHOW
4 TO 7 INCHES OF RAIN OCCURRED ACROSS THE COUNTY. AT LEAST 5 INCHES
WAS MEASURED AT COFFEYVILLE AIRPORT. THE HEAVIEST RAIN OCCURRED WEST
OF HIGHWAY 169 AND SOUTH OF HIGHWAY 160.  FLOODING OF SMALL
STREAMS...LOW WATER CROSSINGS AND FLOOD PRONE AREAS IS LIKELY. SOME
COUNTY ROADS WILL LIKELY BE IMPASSABLE.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

EXCESSIVE RUNOFF FROM HEAVY RAINFALL WILL CAUSE FLOODING OF SMALL
CREEKS AND STREAMS...COUNTRY ROADS...AS WELL AS FARMLAND ALONG THE
BANKS OF CREEKS AND STREAMS.

TO REPORT FLOODING...HAVE THE NEAREST LAW ENFORCEMENT AGENCY RELAY
YOUR REPORT TO THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE FORECAST OFFICE IN
WICHITA.
