NORTHWESTERN MARICOPA AND CENTRAL LA PAZ COUNTIES...

AT 1041 PM MST...LOCAL LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICIALS REPORTED THAT
SALOME HIGHWAY WAS FLOODED AND CLOSED WHERE IT CROSSES CENTENNIAL
WASH. DOPPLER RADAR ESTIMATES TWO TO THREE INCHES OF RAIN HAS
FALLEN OVER THE AREA SINCE 8 PM THIS EVENING. RAINFALL HAS
DIMINISHED CONSIDERABLY SINCE 11 PM AND RAIN HAS MOVED OUT OF MUCH
OF THE WARNING AREA. HOWEVER...STRONG FLOW CONTINUES IN CENTENNIAL
WASH AND THE LATEST STAGE WAS AT 3.45 FEET. THE WASH IS EXPECTED TO
CREST SOON AND FLOW WILL GRADUALLY DIMINISH OVER THE NEXT FEW HOURS.
