THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN LAKE CHARLES HAS ISSUED AN

* URBAN AND SMALL STREAM FLOOD ADVISORY FOR...
  TYLER COUNTY IN SOUTHEAST TEXAS...
THIS INCLUDES THE CITIES OF...WOODVILLE...WARREN...TOWN BLUFF...
  ROCKLAND...FRED...COLMESNEIL...CHESTER...

* UNTIL 1115 PM CDT

* AT 908 PM CDT...NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE RADAR SHOWED CLUSTERS OF
STRONG THUNDERSTORMS PRODUCING VERY HEAVY RAINFALL MOVING EAST AT
15 MPH INTO AND ACROSS TYLER COUNTY. RAINFALL RATES BETWEEN 1 AND
3 INCHES PER HOUR WILL BE POSSIBLE WITH THIS ACTIVITY.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

EXCESSIVE RUNOFF FROM HEAVY RAINFALL MAY CAUSE ELEVATED LEVELS ON
SMALL CREEKS...STREAMS...AND BAYOUS. ADDITIONALLY...PONDING OF WATER
WILL OCCUR ON FARM-TO-MARKET OR OTHER SECONDARY ROADS.

BE ESPECIALLY CAUTIOUS AT NIGHT WHEN IT IS HARDER TO RECOGNIZE THE
DEPTH AND SPEED OF FLOOD WATERS.

AN ADDITIONAL 2 TO 4 INCHES OF RAINFALL ARE STILL POSSIBLE IN THE
ADVISORY AREA.

TURN AROUND...DON`T DROWN... MOST FLOOD DEATHS OCCUR IN AUTOMOBILES.
NEVER DRIVE YOUR VEHICLE INTO AREAS WHERE THE WATER COVERS THE
ROADWAY. FLOOD WATERS ARE USUALLY DEEPER THAN THEY APPEAR. JUST ONE
FOOT OF FLOWING WATER IS POWERFUL ENOUGH TO SWEEP VEHICLES OFF THE
ROAD. WHEN ENCOUNTERING FLOODED ROADS MAKE THE SMART CHOICE...TURN
AROUND...DONT DROWN.
