...THE URBAN AND SMALL STREAM FLOOD ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL
345 AM CDT FOR NORTHERN FLOYD...NORTHERN MOTLEY...HALL AND
SOUTHEASTERN BRISCOE COUNTIES...

AT 204 AM CDT...DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED HEAVY RAIN DUE TO
THUNDERSTORMS FROM NEAR NORTHFIELD TO TURKEY AND NORTHWARD INTO
CENTRAL HALL COUNTY. ANOTHER SMALL BUT HEAVY SHOWER WAS APPROACHING
QUITAQUE AND CAPROCK CANYONS STATE PARK. STORMS WERE MOVING FAIRLY
QUICKLY TO THE EAST AT ABOUT 45 MPH...SO EVEN THOUGH THE RAIN HAS
BEEN INTENSE...TOTALS HAVE BEEN MOSTLY NEAR OR JUST UNDER AN INCH.

THIS RAINFALL IS EXPECTED TO CAUSE URBAN AND SMALL STREAM FLOODING
IN THE ADVISORY AREA.

SOME LOCATIONS THAT WILL EXPERIENCE FLOODING INCLUDE...
SILVERTON...QUITAQUE...CAPROCK CANYON STATE PARK...VALLEY SCHOOLS...
FLOMOT...NORTHFIELD...SOUTH PLAINS...BRICE AND TURKEY.

ADDITIONAL RAINFALL UP TO A HALF INCH IS EXPECTED FOR HALL...EASTERN
BRISCOE...AND NORTHERN MOTLEY COUNTIES. RAINFALL WILL BE ENDING OVER
NORTHERN FLOYD COUNTY BUT MINOR FLOODING IN THIS AREA FROM EARLIER
RAIN WILL CONTINUE EARLY THIS MORNING.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

DO NOT DRIVE YOUR VEHICLE INTO AREAS WHERE THE WATER COVERS THE
ROADWAY. THE WATER DEPTH MAY BE TOO GREAT TO ALLOW YOUR CAR TO CROSS
SAFELY. MOVE TO HIGHER GROUND.

A FLOOD ADVISORY MEANS RIVER OR STREAM FLOWS ARE ELEVATED OR PONDING
OF WATER IN URBAN OR OTHER AREAS IS OCCURRING OR IS IMMINENT.
