FIRE WEATHER PLANNING FORECAST FOR CENTRAL/NORTHERN VERMONT AND
NORTHERN NEW YORK
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE BURLINGTON VT
513 AM EDT WED OCT 22 2014

...MORE RAIN EXPECTED FOR THE REST OF THE WEEK...

.DISCUSSION...
THE UPPER LEVEL TROUGH OF LOW PRESSURE THAT BROUGHT RAIN TO THE
AREA ON TUESDAY HAS MOVED TO OUR SOUTH AND ENHANCED THE DEVELOPMENT
OF A LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM OFF THE NEW JERSEY COAST. THIS FEATURE WILL
MOVE VERY SLOWLY NORTHWARD TODAY AND THURSDAY AND STRENGTHEN EASTERLY
FLOW ACROSS OUR AREA. THIS WILL SEND DEEP ATLANTIC MOISTURE INTO THE
REGION AND ENHANCE RAINFALL OVER THE ENTIRE AREA. EXPECT RAIN TO BE
WIDESPREAD LATER TODAY AND ESPECIALLY TONIGHT THROUGH THURSDAY BEFORE
SLOWLY TAPERING OFF ON FRIDAY. STILL LOOKING AT 1 TO 2 INCHES OF TOTAL
RAINFALL WITH SLIGHTLY HIGHER AMOUNTS IN SOME OF THE MOUNTAIN LOCATIONS.
NO FIRE WEATHER CONCERNS ARE EXPECTED DUE TO THE PRECIPITATION AND HIGH
HUMIDITIES OVER THE AREA.
