SPOT FORECAST FOR WALKER PRAIRIE...USFS
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DULUTH MN
1026 AM CDT THU APR 28 2016

FORECAST IS BASED ON IGNITION TIME OF 1300 CDT ON APRIL 28.
IF CONDITIONS BECOME UNREPRESENTATIVE...CONTACT THE NATIONAL WEATHER
SERVICE.

.DISCUSSION...THE FOCUS FOR THE REST OF TODAY WILL BE CLOUD COVER
TRENDS...AS WELL AS TEMPERATURES AND RELATIVE HUMIDITY. IT LOOKS TO
BE A PRETTY SURE BET THAT WE WILL SEE SOME OF THE BREAKS IN THE
CLOUDS TO THE EAST OF THE FIRE SITE SPREADING IN DURING THE DAY.
THIS SHOULD HELP US TO ATTAIN THAT HIGH TEMPERATURE IN THE MID
50S. IF WE SEE LESS...IT MIGHT BE PUSHING IT TO GET TO THAT NUMBER
AND VICE VERSA...IF WE SEE MORE SUNSHINE...IT COULD GO A FEW
DEGREES HIGHER. WINDS WILL GENERALLY REMAIN NORTHEAST TO EAST.
RELATIVE HUMIDITY VALUES APPEAR TO GO INTO THE 20 TO 30 PERCENT
RANGE AT THAT LOCATION THIS AFTERNOON. GIVE ME A CALL IF YOU WANT
ANY MORE INFORMATION OR UPDATES! GLAD TO HELP!

SPOT FORECAST FOR UNIT 2, NBWA...WI DNR
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DULUTH MN
1008 AM CDT THU APR 28 2016

FORECAST IS BASED ON IGNITION TIME OF 1100 CDT ON APRIL 28.
IF THERE ARE QUESTIONS OR CONCERNS WITH THIS FORECAST...
PLEASE CALL THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE.

.DISCUSSION...
THE FORECAST FOR THE UNIT 2 NBWA FIRE IS A BIT TRICKY FOR THE
REMAINDER OF TODAY. THE FIRST ISSUE WILL BE THE AMOUNT OF CLOUD
COVER. A VAST SHIELD OF RAIN/SNOW WILL CONTINUE TO CIRCULATE
SOUTH OF THE AREA...EVEN SOUTH OF SIREN. HOWEVER...WE WOULD
NOT BE SURPRISED TO HEAR OF A FEW SPRINKLES AT SOME POINT
THIS AFTERNOON. THE LOWER LEVELS ARE VERY DRY...SO NOT
EXPECTING ANYTHING MEASURABLE. IN TERMS OF CLOUD COVER...THERE
ARE SOME HOLES DEVELOPING IN THE CLOUDS JUST EAST OF THE FIRE
AREA. THESE HOLES WILL HELP TO DETERMINE EXACTLY HOW WARM IT
DOES GET AT THE FIRE SITE...AS WELL AS WHAT THE RESULTANT
RELATIVE HUMIDITY WILL FALL TO THIS AFTERNOON. AT THIS POINT
I AM BANKING ON RELATIVE HUMIDITY VALUES FALLING INTO THE
20 TO 30 PERCENT RANGE...BUT IF A BIT MORE CLOUD COVER HANGS
ON THAT WILL LIMIT THAT TEMPERATURE RISE. IF WE GET JUST A BIT
MORE SUNSHINE THE TEMP COULD RISE EVEN A FEW DEGREES MORE THAN
MY FORECAST. LET ME KNOW IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS OR NEED
UPDATES AT ANY TIME!

.REST OF TODAY...

SKY/WEATHER.........MOSTLY CLOUDY. A FEW SPRINKLES POSSIBLE.
MAX TEMPERATURE.....AROUND 53.

SPOT FORECAST FOR NETT LAKE VILLAGE RX...BOIS FORTE AGENCY
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DULUTH MN
833 AM CDT THU APR 28 2016

FORECAST IS BASED ON IGNITION TIME OF 1700 CDT ON APRIL 28.
IF CONDITIONS BECOME UNREPRESENTATIVE...CONTACT THE NATIONAL WEATHER
SERVICE.

.DISCUSSION...IT WILL BE QUIET ACROSS THE NORTHERN PORTION OF
MINNESOTA TODAY. RELATIVE HUMIDITY VALUES WILL BE A BIT TRICKY
TODAY GIVEN THE CLOUDS PRESENT ACROSS THE AREA. REGARDLESS...
DEWPOINTS REMAIN IN THE TEENS ACROSS THE REGION. THE ONLY REAL
QUESTION IS THE AMOUNT OF HEATING EXPECTED TODAY. IF WE DO GET
ENOUGH SUNSHINE FOR THAT AREA...TEMPS SHOULD REACH INTO THE MID
50S. THAT WOULD BRING RELATIVE HUMIDITY VALUES TO NEAR 30 PERCENT.
IF A LITTLE MORE HEATING DEVELOPS THAN PLANNED IT COULD GO A BIT
LOWER THAN THAT. BUT THE CONSENSUS AT THIS TIME IS FOR A HIGH
AROUND 55 AND A RELATIVE HUMIDITY AROUND 30 PERCENT AT THAT TIME.

.REST OF TODAY...

SKY/WEATHER.........PARTLY SUNNY.
MAX TEMPERATURE.....AROUND 55.
MIN HUMIDITY........31 PERCENT.
WIND (20 FT)........NORTHEAST WINDS AROUND 5 MPH INCREASING TO
