.DISCUSSION...
COOL AND DRY WEATHER TODAY WITH AFTERNOON HUMIDITY FALLING AS LOW AS
35 PERCENT. WINDS WILL BE RELATIVELY LIGHT FROM THE NORTH THIS
MORNING...THEN TURNING SOUTHEAST BY LATE AFTERNOON. THERE IS A VERY
LOW CHANCE FOR A RAIN SHOWER TONIGHT...BUT THIS WOULD NOT LIKELY BE A
WETTING RAIN. FRIDAY WILL BE MUCH WARMER AND CONTINUED DRY...HOWEVER
SOUTHERLY WINDS WILL SHARPLY INCREASE TO AROUND 20 TO 25 MPH WITH
GUSTS TO 35 MPH IN THE LATE MORNING AND AFTERNOON. VERY HIGH FIRE
DANGER IS EXPECTED ON FRIDAY...MAINLY DUE TO STRONG WINDS.

.DISCUSSION...
SURFACE HIGH PRESSURE WILL DOMINATE THE AREAS WEATHER ON THURSDAY
ALL ALONG THE INTERSTATE 29 CORRIDOR. NORTHERLY WINDS SHOULD
ACTUALLY BEGIN TO DECREASE BY MIDDAY...AND CONTINUE TO NOTCH DOWN
THROUGH THE AFTERNOON HOURS IN THE SIOUXLAND. SO NOT EXPECTING A LOT
OF WIND BY MIDDAY THURSDAY AND THURSDAY AFTERNOON. MINIMUM HUMIDITY
LEVELS SHOULD ALSO DECREASE TO BETWEEN 30 AND 35 PERCENT...AND EXPECT
A STEADY DECREASE IN CLOUDS THROUGH THE MORNING...SETTLING INTO
PARTLY CLOUDY SKIES FOR THE AFTERNOON. BECAUSE OF THE PRETTY LIGHT
WINDS IN THE MIXED LAYER...SMOKE DISPERSAL WILL BE IN THE FAIR
CATEGORY...BUT THE TOP OF THE MIXED LAYER WILL RISE TO BETWEEN
2500 AND 3000 FEET IN THE AFTERNOON.
