.DISCUSSION...
THE MAIN AREA OF HIGH PRESSURE REMAINS TO THE EAST, KEEPING THE

AND THE SEA BREEZES SHOULD BECOME THE MAIN SOURCE OF SURFACE WIND
THIS AFTERNOON. NEAR THE BURN AREA, BOTH THE ATLANTIC SEA BREEZE

.DISCUSSION...
AN UPPER LEVEL DISTURBANCE HAS BROUGHT ENOUGH INSTABILITY TO THE
AREA TO CAUSE NUMEROUS SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS. THE CONVECTIVE
ACTIVITY WILL CONTINUE THROUGH THE EVENING HOURS. IT CURRENTLY
LOOKS AS THROUGH MOST OF THE ACTIVITY WILL BE TO THE EAST, BUT
OUTFLOW BOUNDARIES MAY AFFECT THE BURN AREA FOR THE NEXT SEVERAL
HOURS. SHORT RANGE MODELS ARE INDICATING SOME ADDITIONAL
CONVECTION MAY OCCUR BETWEEN 9PM AND MIDNIGHT. THIS CONVECTIVE
ACTIVITY AND THE ASSOCIATED ERRATIC WINDS ARE NOT DEPICTED IN THE
GENERAL FORECAST BELOW. SOME OF THE STORMS MAY GENERATE WINDS OF
AROUND 35-50 MPH.

.DISCUSSION...
A WEAK TROUGH OF LOW PRESSURE TO THE NORTH OF THE AREA, WILL KEEP
THE SURFACE WIND ON THE LIGHT SIDE AND THE GENERAL FLOW OUT OF THE
SOUTH TO SOUTHWEST. THIS TROUGH WILL ALSO KEEP SOME INSTABILITY IN
THE AREA, WHICH WILL ALLOW FOR THE CHANCE OF SHOWERS AND
THUNDERSTORMS TO OCCUR OVER THE BURN AREA TODAY. THERE ARE SOME
SHOWERS IN THE AREA ALREADY THIS MORNING THAT MAY AFFECT THE AREA
IN THE NEXT HOUR OR TWO. OTHERWISE, LOOK FOR CHANCES FOR SHOWERS
AND STORMS IN INCREASE AGAIN IN THE EARLY AFTERNOON. THE SEA
BREEZE OFF THE GULF LOOKS TO DEVELOP LATE THIS MORNING AND MAY GET
INTO THE BURN AREA BETWEEN NOON AND 2 PM.
