.DISCUSSION...

DRY NORTHWEST FLOW OVER THE SITE THROUGH THURSDAY AS UPPER RIDGE OF HIGH
PRESSURE REMAINS OVER THE REGION. SOME VERY WEAK ENERGY WILL MOVE THROUGH
THE RIDGE AT TIMES...ALLOWING VARIABLE AMOUNTS OF HIGH LEVEL MOISTURE TO
MOVE THROUGH. THIS WILL HAVE THE IMPACT OF FILTERING THE SUN AT TIMES
WHICH WILL TEND TO KEEP MIXING AND WINDS TO A MINIMUM...AND ULTIMATELY
LIMIT VENTILATION.

.TODAY...

SKY/WEATHER.........MOSTLY SUNNY (45 PERCENT).
MAX TEMPERATURE.....37-42F.
MIN HUMIDITY........20-25 PERCENT.
20 FOOT WIND........VARIABLE WINDS 5-10 MPH UNTIL 0800...THEN
BECOMING WEST TO NORTHWEST 5-10 MPH WITH
                    GUSTS TO 15 MPH POSSIBLE.
MIXING HEIGHT.......1500 FT AGL.
TRANSPORT WIND......WEST AROUND 14 MPH.
SMOKE DISPERSAL.....POOR.

.TONIGHT...

SKY/WEATHER.........MOSTLY CLOUDY (60 PERCENT).
MIN TEMPERATURE.....17-22F.
MAX HUMIDITY........45-50 PERCENT.
20 FOOT WIND........VARIABLE 5-10 MPH.
MIXING HEIGHT.......1000 FT AGL.
TRANSPORT WIND......WEST AROUND 15 MPH.
SMOKE DISPERSAL.....POOR.

.THURSDAY...

.DISCUSSION...

DRY NORTHWESTERLY FLOW ACROSS THE BURN SITE AS A RIDGE OF UPPER LEVEL
HIGH PRESSURE NOSES IN FROM THE WEST. LOW MIXING HEIGHTS DUE TO TRAPPED
COLD AIR IN THE WET MOUNTAIN VALLEY ARE EXPECTED TO KEEP VENTILATION
RATES POOR AT THE BURN SITE TODAY AND WEDNESDAY.

JUST A LITTLE HIGHER UP...ROUGHLY ABOVE 9000 FEET...RATES SHOULD HIT
FAIR TODAY. ABOVE 10,000 FEET...FAIR TO GOOD VENTILATION IS EXPECTED.
SO...IF THINGS MIX A LITTLE BETTER THAN EXPECTED...VENTILATION RATES
COULD END UP BETTER THAN EXPECTED. HOWEVER...THAT IS NOT THE WAY IT
LOOKS RIGHT NOW.

THE CHANCE FOR WEDNESDAY`S VENTILATION RATES BEING BETTER THAN FORECAST
IS PRETTY LOW. STRENGTHENING HIGH PRESSURE IS EXPECTED TO DECREASE
TRANSPORT WINDS.

.TODAY...

SKY/WEATHER.........SUNNY.
MAX TEMPERATURE.....33-38F.
MIN HUMIDITY........27-32 PERCENT.
20 FOOT WIND........NORTHWEST 5-10 MPH.
MIXING HEIGHT.......1500 FT AGL.
TRANSPORT WIND......WEST AROUND 18 MPH.
SMOKE DISPERSAL.....POOR.

.TONIGHT...

SKY/WEATHER.........MOSTLY CLEAR.
MIN TEMPERATURE.....10-15F.
MAX HUMIDITY........50-55 PERCENT.
20 FOOT WIND........NORTHWEST WINDS 5-10 MPH UNTIL 0200...THEN
                    VARIABLE 5 MPH.
MIXING HEIGHT.......1000 FT AGL.
TRANSPORT WIND......WEST AROUND 18 MPH.
SMOKE DISPERSAL.....POOR.

.WEDNESDAY...

SKY/WEATHER.........SUNNY.
MAX TEMPERATURE.....34-39F.
MIN HUMIDITY........31-36 PERCENT.
20 FOOT WIND........NORTHWEST 5-10 MPH UNTIL 0800...THEN
                    VARIABLE 5 MPH.
MIXING HEIGHT.......1500 FT AGL.
TRANSPORT WIND......WEST AROUND 14 MPH.
SMOKE DISPERSAL.....POOR.
