450 AM CDT FRI APR 24 2015

THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR PORTIONS OF NORTHERN...
WESTERN...CENTRAL...AND SOUTHERN OKLAHOMA...AND WESTERN NORTH
TEXAS.

.DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT...

.THUNDERSTORMS...
THERE IS AN ENHANCED RISK OF SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS ACROSS PORTIONS OF
SOUTHERN OKLAHOMA AND WESTERN NORTH TEXAS...WITH A SLIGHT RISK ACROSS
MUCH OF THE REMAINDER OF NORTHERN AND CENTRAL OKLAHOMA...AND WESTERN
NORTH TEXAS.

LOCATION...
THE ENHANCED RISK AREA IS ALONG AND SOUTH OF A LINE FROM ARCHER CITY
TO HENRIETTA TEXAS...TO ARDMORE TO PONTOTOC IN SOUTHERN OKLAHOMA.
THE ENHANCED RISK IN BOUNDED BY A SLIGHT RISK...WHICH RESIDES EAST
OF A LINE FROM FREEDOM...TO CORDELL...TO FREDERICK OKLAHOMA...DOWN
TO VERNON AND SEYMOUR IN WESTERN NORTH TEXAS..

TIMING...
4 PM TO 11 PM

IMPACTS...
THE STRONGEST STORMS MAY PRODUCE HAIL UP TO TENNIS BALL SIZE AND
DAMAGING WINDS OF 60 MPH. THERE WILL ALSO BE THE POTENTIAL FOR
TORNADOES WITH ANY STORM THAT CAN PERSIST INTO THE LATE AFTERNOON
AND EARLY EVENING HOURS. A MEDIUM THREAT OF TORNADOES EXISTS ACROSS
SOUTHERN OKLAHOMA...WITH A LOW THREAT ACROSS MUCH OF NORTHERN...CENTRAL
AND EASTERN OKLAHOMA.

DISCUSSION...
SHOWERS AND STORMS WILL BE ONGOING ACROSS MUCH OF SOUTHERN OKLAHOMA AND
WESTERN NORTH TEXAS THE FIRST HALF OF TODAY. SOME OF THIS ACTIVITY MAY
BECOME STRONG...WITH SMALL HAIL AND GUSTY WINDS...BUT THE MORE
APPRECIABLE SEVERE THREAT WILL DEVELOP LATER THIS AFTERNOON INTO THIS
EVENING.

A RATHER COMPLEX SEVERE WEATHER SETUP IS EXPECTED TODAY. THE
POTENTIAL FOR SEVERE STORMS WILL LARGELY DEPEND ON ONGOING SHOWER AND
THUNDERSTORM ACTIVITY ACROSS NORTHERN AND CENTRAL TEXAS. THE LONGER THIS
ACTIVITY PERSISTS INTO THE AFTERNOON...THE LESS DESTABILIZATION WILL
OCCUR...LIMITING THE OVERALL SEVERE POTENTIAL. STILL...MOST HIGH RESOLUTION
MODELS DEPICT AT LEAST ISOLATED THUNDERSTORM DEVELOPMENT ALONG A DRYLINE BY
MID TO LATE AFTERNOON. MODELS HAVE TRENDED SLOWER WITH THE DRYLINE...AND IT
APPEARS THAT THE INITIAL STORMS ARE LIKELY TO DEVELOP FROM NORTHWESTERN
THROUGH WEST CENTRAL OKLAHOMA BETWEEN 3 AND 4 PM. GIVEN IMPRESSIVE WIND
PROFILES...AND ASSUMING ADEQUATE INSTABILITY IS PRESENT...STORMS SHOULD
QUICKLY ORGANIZE INTO SUPERCELL STRUCTURES WITH LARGE HAIL AND DAMAGING WINDS.
TORNADOES WILL ALSO BE POSSIBLE WITH THE MORE PERSISTENT STORMS...ESPECIALLY
DURING THE LATE AFTERNOON AND EARLY EVENING HOURS. HOWEVER...CONFIDENCE ON
STORM COVERAGE REMAINS VERY LOW...AND IT IS POSSIBLE THAT ONLY A FEW STORMS
MANAGE TO DEVELOP.

.SPOTTER AND EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT STATEMENT...
STORM SPOTTER GROUPS AND EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT PERSONNEL ACROSS
THE RISK AREAS SHOULD PREPARE FOR SEVERE WEATHER OPERATIONS
THIS AFTERNOON AND TONIGHT.

.FIRE WEATHER...
ELEVATED WILDFIRE POTENTIAL WILL DEVELOP BEHIND A DRYLINE EXPECTED
TO MOVE INTO PORTIONS OF WESTERN AND CENTRAL OKLAHOMA...AND WESTERN
NORTH TEXAS LATER THIS AFTERNOON. WARM...WINDY...AND DRY CONDITIONS
MAY PROMOTE INCREASED FIRE SPREAD BEHIND THIS DRYLINE.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...SATURDAY THROUGH THURSDAY...

.THUNDERSTORMS...
SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS WILL BE POSSIBLE ONCE AGAIN LATE SUNDAY
AFTERNOON THROUGH SUNDAY NIGHT. LARGE HAIL...DAMAGING WINDS...
AND HEAVY RAINFALL LOOK TO BE THE PRIMARY CONCERNS. STORMS
ARE LIKELY TO CONTINUE MONDAY AND MONDAY NIGHT...AS A SLOW
MOVING UPPER LOW MOVES ACROSS THE AREA. THE SEVERE THREAT LOOKS
TO BE SOMEWHAT LIMITED BY MONDAY...AS MORE STABLE AIR MOVES INTO
THE REGION BEHIND A COLD FRONT.

1202 PM CDT THU APR 23 2015

THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR PORTIONS OF NORTHERN...
WESTERN...CENTRAL...AND SOUTHERN OKLAHOMA...AND WESTERN NORTH
TEXAS.

.DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT...

.THUNDERSTORMS...
THERE IS A SLIGHT RISK OF SEVERE STORMS ACROSS WESTERN NORTH
TEXAS LATE THIS AFTERNOON AND TONIGHT. THERE IS A MARGINAL RISK OF
SEVERE STORMS ACROSS WESTERN... SOUTHERN... CENTRAL AND NORTHERN
OKLAHOMA.

LOCATION...
THE SLIGHT RISK IS NEAR AND SOUTH OF THE RED RIVER FROM NORTHWEST
OF QUANAH TO NORTHEAST OF HENRIETTA TEXAS... AND INCLUDES ALL OF
WESTERN NORTH TEXAS. THE MARGINAL RISK IS ACROSS THE OKLAHOMA
PORTION OF THE AREA.

TIMING...
A FEW SEVERE STORMS COULD BE POSSIBLE IN THE SLIGHT RISK AREA FROM
4 PM TO 10 PM. THE MOST LIKELY TIME FOR SEVERE STORMS ACROSS THE
REST OF THE AREA WILL BE FROM 7 PM TO 4 AM.

IMPACTS...
HAIL UP TO THE SIZE OF GOLF BALLS AND WIND GUSTS TO 65 MPH. THE
TORNADO POTENTIAL WILL BE VERY LOW IN THE SLIGHT RISK AREA.

DISCUSSION...
A WARM FRONT CONTINUES TO MOVE NORTH ACROSS NORTH TEXAS BRINGING
HIGHER HUMIDITY AND A MORE UNSTABLE ATMOSPHERE INTO THE AREA. A
DRYLINE WILL CONTINUE TO BE LOCATED ACROSS THE TEXAS PANHANDLE AND
WEST TEXAS TODAY. THUNDERSTORMS COULD DEVELOP LATE THIS AFTERNOON
NEAR THE DRYLINE AND MOVE INTO PARTS OF SOUTHWEST OKLAHOMA AND
WESTERN NORTH TEXAS... OR NEAR THE WARM FRONT ACROSS NORTH TEXAS.
INSTABILITY AND SHEAR SHOULD BE SUFFICIENT FOR THE STORMS TO
BECOME SEVERE PRODUCING HAIL UP TO THE SIZE OF GOLF BALLS AND WIND
GUSTS TO 65 MPH. A TORNADO CAN NOT BE RULED OUT NEAR THE WARM
FRONT IN NORTH TEXAS... BUT THE POTENTIAL IS RELATIVELY LOW.

THE RISK FOR SEVERE STORMS SPREADS ACROSS THE ENTIRE AREA
OVERNIGHT INTO EARLY FRIDAY AS ELEVATED THUNDERSTORMS DEVELOP.
LARGE HAIL WILL BE THE MAIN CONCERN WITH THESE STORMS.

.SPOTTER AND EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT STATEMENT...
STORM SPOTTER GROUPS AND EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT PERSONNEL ACROSS
THE RISK AREAS SHOULD PREPARE FOR SEVERE WEATHER OPERATIONS LATE
THIS AFTERNOON AND TONIGHT.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...FRIDAY THROUGH WEDNESDAY...

.THUNDERSTORMS...
SEVERE STORMS WILL BE POSSIBLE AGAIN FRIDAY AFTERNOON AND EVENING.
HOWEVER... WHAT HAPPENS FRIDAY WILL BE GREATLY DEPENDENT ON WHAT
HAPPENS TONIGHT AND IN THE MORNING. A DRYLINE WILL MOVE EAST
ACROSS THE REGION FRIDAY AND IS EXPECTED TO BE NEAR THE
INTERSTATE 35 CORRIDOR. IF MOISTURE IS ALLOWED TO RETURN TO THE
AREA EAST OF THE DRYLINE FRIDAY... SUFFICIENT INSTABILITY AND
STRONG WIND SHEAR WILL MEAN THAT ANY STORMS THAT DEVELOP WILL
LIKELY BECOME SEVERE WITH LARGE HAIL... STRONG WINDS... AND SOME
TORNADOES POSSIBLE. THERE ARE STILL A NUMBER OF UNCERTAINTIES FOR
FRIDAY INCLUDING HOW FAR EAST THE DRYLINE WILL MOVE AND HOW MUCH
MOISTURE AND INSTABILITY WILL EXIST EAST OF THE BOUNDARY BY LATE
AFTERNOON SO CONTINUE TO CHECK THE FORECAST FOR THE LATEST
INFORMATION.

STRONG TO SEVERE STORMS WILL BE POSSIBLE AGAIN ACROSS PARTS OF
OKLAHOMA AND WESTERN NORTH TEXAS BOTH SUNDAY NIGHT... AND MONDAY
AFTERNOON AND NIGHT. LARGE HAIL AND STRONG WINDS WOULD BE
POSSIBLE IF SEVERE STORMS OCCUR. HEAVY RAIN COULD ALSO BE A
CONCERN EARLY NEXT WEEK.

.FIRE WEATHER...
ELEVATED WILDFIRE SPREAD POTENTIAL WILL LIKELY OCCUR WEST OF A
DRYLINE IN PARTS OF WESTERN OKLAHOMA AND WESTERN NORTH TEXAS
FRIDAY AFTERNOON INTO EARLY EVENING. WARM TEMPERATURES WILL
COMBINE WITH LOW HUMIDITIES AND GUSTY WINDS IN THESE AREAS.

THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR PORTIONS OF NORTHERN...
WESTERN...CENTRAL...AND SOUTHERN OKLAHOMA...AND WESTERN NORTH
TEXAS.

.DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT...

.THUNDERSTORMS...
THERE IS A SLIGHT AND MARGINAL RISK OF SEVERE STORMS ACROSS
OKLAHOMA AND WESTERN NORTH TEXAS LATE THIS AFTERNOON AND TONIGHT.

LOCATION...
THE SLIGHT RISK IS ALONG AND SOUTH OF A LINE FROM HOLLIS AND
ALTUS... TO LAWTON AND DUNCAN... TO MARIETTA OKLAHOMA. THIS
INCLUDES ALL OF WESTERN NORTH TEXAS. THE MARGINAL RISK IS ACROSS
THE REST OF THE AREA.

THUNDERSTORMS COULD DEVELOP LATE THIS AFTERNOON NEAR A DRYLINE

WESTERN NORTH TEXAS. INSTABILITY AND SHEAR SHOULD BE SUFFICIENT
FOR THE STORMS TO BECOME SEVERE PRODUCING HAIL UP TO THE SIZE OF
GOLF BALLS AND WIND GUSTS TO 65 MPH. A TORNADO CAN NOT BE RULED
OUT IN THIS AREA BUT THE POTENTIAL IS VERY LOW.

THE RISK FOR SEVERE STORMS INCREASES AND SPREADS ACROSS THE AREA
OVERNIGHT INTO EARLY FRIDAY AS ELEVATED THUNDERSTORMS DEVELOP.

RISK AREAS SHOULD PREPARE FOR SEVERE WEATHER OPERATIONS LATE THIS
AFTERNOON AND TONIGHT.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...FRIDAY THROUGH WEDNESDAY...

.THUNDERSTORMS...
SEVERE STORMS WILL BE POSSIBLE AGAIN FRIDAY AFTERNOON AND EVENING.
HOWEVER... WHAT HAPPENS FRIDAY WILL BE GREATLY DEPENDENT ON WHAT
HAPPENS TONIGHT AND IN THE MORNING. A DRYLINE WILL MOVE EAST
ACROSS THE REGION FRIDAY AND IS EXPECTED TO BE ALONG OR JUST EAST
OR WEST OF THE INTERSTATE 35 CORRIDOR. IF MOISTURE IS ALLOWED TO
RETURN TO THE AREA EAST OF THE DRYLINE FRIDAY... SUFFICIENT
INSTABILITY AND STRONG WIND SHEAR WILL MEAN THAT ANY STORMS THAT
DEVELOP WILL LIKELY BECOME SEVERE WITH LARGE HAIL... STRONG
WINDS... AND SOME TORNADOES POSSIBLE. THERE ARE STILL A NUMBER OF
UNCERTAINTIES FOR FRIDAY INCLUDING HOW FAR EAST THE DRYLINE WILL
MOVE AND HOW MUCH MOISTURE WILL EXIST EAST OF THE BOUNDARY BY LATE
AFTERNOON SO CONTINUE TO CHECK THE FORECAST FOR THE LATEST
