THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR EASTERN IDAHO.

.DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT

A STRONG COLD FRONT WILL BRING GUSTY WINDS AND ISOLATED
THUNDERSTORMS. A WIND ADVISORY IS CURRENTLY IN EFFECT FOR PARTS OF
SOUTHEAST IDAHO. SEE OUR WEBSITE FOR MORE DETAILS. THE FRONT WILL
BEGIN IMPACTING THE REGION AROUND NOON TODAY AND SHIFT EAST THIS
EVENING. WIND GUSTS OF 45 TO 50 MPH ARE POSSIBLE BEHIND THE FRONT.
THUNDERSTORMS THAT DEVELOP MAY BE STRONG ENOUGH TO PRODUCE HAIL
AND GUSTY OUTFLOW WINDS. COOLER TEMPERATURES WILL MOVE IN BEHIND
THE COLD FRONT AND SNOW LEVELS WILL DROP TO AROUND 6000 FT BY LATE
TONIGHT.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...WEDNESDAY THROUGH MONDAY

WINDY AND COOLER WEATHER IS EXPECTED ON WEDNESDAY...BUT SHOULD BE
GENERALLY DRY EXCEPT FOR THE CENTRAL MOUNTAINS AND THE ISLAND PARK
AREA. WIND GUSTS OF 40 TO 45 MPH ARE POSSIBLE MAINLY ACROSS THE
SNAKE PLAIN. ANOTHER WEATHER SYSTEM WILL MOVE INTO THE AREA ON
FRIDAY BRINGING MORE WINDS AND RAIN.

NO HAZARDOUS WEATHER IS EXPECTED AT THIS TIME.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...TUESDAY THROUGH SUNDAY

A STRONG COLD FRONT WILL PUSH THROUGH SOUTHEAST IDAHO ON TUESDAY.
THIS WILL RESULT IN STRONG WINDS ACROSS THE SNAKE PLAIN. WIND
SPEEDS OF 20 TO 30 MPH ARE POSSIBLE WITH HIGHER GUSTS.
THUNDERSTORMS MAY ALSO DEVELOP TUESDAY AFTERNOON WITH SMALL HAIL
AND GUSTY OUTFLOW WINDS POSSIBLE. WE WILL ALSO SEE SNOW LEVELS
DROP FROM AROUND 8000 FT TUESDAY MORNING TO AROUND 5000 FT TUESDAY
EVENING. SNOW ACCUMULATION WILL BE HIGHEST IN THE SAWTOOTH
MOUNTAINS WITH AROUND 4 TO 7 INCHES EXPECTED. UNSETTLED WEATHER
WILL REMAIN THOUGH MUCH OF THE WEEK. ANOTHER STORM SYSTEM IS
EXPECTED TO IMPACT THE GEM STATE THIS WEEKEND.

A SIGNIFICANT CHANGE IN THE WEATHER PATTERN WILL BRING SHOWERS AND
POSSIBLY THUNDERSTORMS TO THE REGION TUESDAY AND MAY LAST THROUGH
THURSDAY. SNOW LEVELS COULD BEGIN DROPPING TO 4500 FT BY TUESDAY
NIGHT THOUGH WE ARE NOT ANTICIPATING MUCH SNOW ACCUMULATION AT
