AT TIMES AFTER MIDNIGHT.  THE HEAVIEST SNOW WILL FALL ACROSS THE
SAWATCH AND MOSQUITO RANGES WHERE 4 TO 8 INCHES WILL BE POSSIBLE BY
EARLY SUNDAY MORNING.  TWO TO 4 INCHES WILL FALL ACROSS THE
SOUTHWEST MOUNTAINS...AND 1 TO 2 INCHES WILL FALL ACROSS THE HIGHER
PEAKS OF THE SANGRE DE CRISTO MOUNTAINS AND PIKES PEAK BY EARLY
SUNDAY MORNING.  STRONG WEST TO NORTHWEST WINDS 20 TO 30 MPH WITH

THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR PORTIONS OF CENTRAL...EAST
CENTRAL...SOUTH CENTRAL AND SOUTHEAST COLORADO.

.DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT

A FEW SPOTTY SNOW SHOWERS WILL BE POSSIBLE OVER THE CONTINENTAL
DIVIDE THIS AFTERNOON AND EARLY EVENING. ANY ACCUMULATION WILL
REMAIN SPOTTY AND LIGHT...WITH AMOUNTS LESS THAN 1 INCH.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...SATURDAY THROUGH THURSDAY

THE UPPER JET STREAM WILL FEED PACIFIC MOISTURE DIRECTLY INTO
COLORADO FOR A PROLONGED PERIOD OF TIME. SNOW IS EXPECTED TO FALL
ACROSS THE HIGHER TERRAIN BEGINNING SATURDAY AFTERNOON...PERSISTING
OVER THE WEEKEND INTO TUESDAY. SIGNIFICANT NEW SNOW ACCUMULATION
WILL BE POSSIBLE BY TUESDAY MORNING...ESPECIALLY ACROSS THE HIGHER
ELEVATIONS OF LAKE AND CHAFFEE COUNTIES.

IN ADDITION TO THE EXPECTED NEW SNOWFALL...WEST TO NORTHWEST WINDS
ARE FORECAST TO BE AT 15 TO 25 MPH WITH FREQUENT GUSTS UP TO 40
MPH FOR THE HIGHER ELEVATIONS. THE STRONGER WINDS WILL CREATE
AREAS OF BLOWING SNOW AND REDUCED VISIBILITIES...AND HAZARDOUS
TRAVEL CONDITIONS OVER THE HIGHER MOUNTAIN PASSES.
