...SEPTEMBER 2014 CLIMATOLOGICAL SUMMARY FOR NORTHEASTERN AND
CENTRAL NEVADA...

WARM RIDGES OF HIGH PRESSURE ONCE AGAIN DOMINATED THE WEATHER IN
SEPTEMBER...WITH SEVERAL NOTABLE EXCEPTIONS. THIS RESULTED IN
OVERALL MUCH WARMER THAN NORMAL CONDITIONS ACROSS THE REGION WITH
AN ALL-TIME RECORD WARMEST SEPTEMBER BEING RECORDED IN ELY AND
NEAR RECORD TEMPERATURES ELSEWHERE. DAILY RECORD HIGHS WERE ALSO

TROPICAL MOISTURE IN THE SOUTHWEST...SEVERAL OF THESE LOW PRESSURE
SYSTEMS WERE ABLE TO TAP INTO THE AVAILABLE MOISTURE AND PRODUCE
COPIOUS RAINFALL...RESULTING IN ABOVE NORMAL PRECIPITATION ACROSS
THE REGION. SOME PLACES WERE CLOSE TO RECORD WETNESS WITH
WINNEMUCCA REACHING THE TOP 5. DAILY RECORD PRECIPITATION TOTALS
WERE SET IN SEVERAL LOCATIONS AND SOME LOCALLY SEVERE FLASH
