MAINLY SNOW TO CENTRAL AND NORTHEAST SOUTH DAKOTA AND WEST CENTRAL
MINNESOTA TODAY. SNOWFALL ACCUMULATIONS ARE EXPECTED TO BE FROM 1
TO 5 INCHES MAINLY EAST IN THE REGION. OTHERWISE...NORTHEAST WINDS
WILL BE STRONG TODAY AT 20 TO 35 MPH. COOL SURFACE HIGH PRESSURE
RIDGING WILL BUILD INTO AND ACROSS THE REGION TONIGHT AND THURSDAY
BRINGING CLEARING SKIES...DRIER CONDITIONS ALONG WITH MUCH BELOW
NORMAL TEMPERATURES AND LIGHTER WINDS.

A SURFACE LOW PRESSURE AREA WILL DROP SOUTHEAST OUT OF CANADA
TODAY AND INTO SOUTH CENTRAL SOUTH DAKOTA TONIGHT AND THEN EAST
INTO SOUTHERN MINNESOTA BY WEDNESDAY AFTERNOON. IN ADVANCE OF THIS
SYSTEM...SOUTHEAST WINDS WILL INCREASE TODAY AND BECOME WINDY.
RELATIVE HUMIDITY WILL FALL TO 20 TO 30 PERCENT THIS AFTERNOON
BRINGING VERY HIGH FIRE DANGER TO MAINLY THE WESTERN PART OF THE
REGION. OTHERWISE...CLOUDS WILL INCREASE INTO THE EVENING AS
A WINTRY MIX DEVELOPS ACROSS THE NORTHERN PART OF THE REGION
TONIGHT CHANGING OVER TO SNOW INTO WEDNESDAY. ACCUMULATIONS ARE
EXPECTED WITH THIS SYSTEM AS IT MOVES EAST.

TO MUCH OF THE AREA TODAY. LITTLE IN THE WAY OF ACCUMULATION IS
EXPECTED. WINDS ARE EXPECTED TO BE IN THE 10 TO 20 MPH RANGE...BUT
MAY BE GUSTIER IN THE VICINITY OF THE SNOW SQUALLS. THE SNOW WILL
END BY LATE AFTERNOON AND WINDS WILL DIMINISH SHORTLY AFTER
SUNSET.
