Spotty showers remain possible over the far western basins and portions of Rhode Island and southeast Massachusetts Tuesday afternoon. A change in air mass takes place for Wednesday as dry and much warmer temperatures take hold across the area. Thursday also looks to be dry, although scattered showers may develop Thursday night across western and northern Massachusetts.

Streams and rivers across southern New England will generally remain nearly steady or gradually recede through Thursday.

These forecasts include 24 hour precipitation for the period ending
at 7 am today, and forecast precipitation through 7 am tomorrow.
