DAILY RIVER AND LAKE SUMMARY
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE NEW YORK NY
1117 AM EST MON MAR 2 2015

Dry conditions prevail through Tuesday morning before the arrival
of the next system to impact the area. This system will bring one
half to one inch of precipitation to the Hydrologic Service Area.
While most of this precipitation will be frozen, some will fall as
plain rain, particularly during the day on Wednesday. This combined
with warmer temperatures could result in some increases in stream
flow by midweek, but all rivers should remain below flood stage.

A prolonged period of cold air across the Hydrologic Service Area
will aid in ice build up on area rivers and streams. Ice jams are
possible, which if they occur, could result in significant rises.

A series of winter/spring flood outlooks are issued by the
National Weather Service through April, and are available on our
home page at weather.gov/nyc. These outlooks provide insight into
the likelihood of river flooding across the Hydrologic Service Area.

DAILY RIVER AND LAKE SUMMARY
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE NEW YORK NY
1101 AM EST SUN MAR 1 2015

Between four and seven tenths of an inch...with locally higher
amounts of liquid equivalent is expected to fall through
tonight...mainly in the form of snow. This will result in little
to no immediate impact on the Hydrologic Service Area. Drier
weather is expected on Monday.
