occurred in scattered thunderstorms over the Yadkin River Basin.

Forecast rainfall ending 8:00 AM Saturday...will be a tenth to a
quarter of an inch over all river basins. Another quarter to a half
an inch may fall during the remainder of this weekend. Scattered
thunderstorms will produce locally heavy rainfall throughout the

Forecast rainfall for the 24 hour period ending at 8:00 AM Friday is a somewhat larger area of one tenth to one quarter inch...mainly over the New River and Greenbrier River basins...as well as the Clinch and Salt River basins. This will be in the form of scattered thunderstorms...thus locally heavier rainfall is expected within these areas. Elsewhere...basin average rainfall is expected to be less than a tenth of an inch.
