Regional Weather Summary
National Weather Service State College PA
600 AM EDT SAT MAY 28 2016

High pressure off the east coast will provide Pennsylvania with
another very warm and humid day. Scattered thunderstorms will
develop during the heat of the afternoon, mainly across the
central mountains. Highs today will range from the mid 80s over
the Allegheny Plateau, to the low 90s across the southeast
piedmont.

Any showers or thunderstorms should die out after sunset with
tranquil, warm and humid conditions for the rest of the night.
Lows tonight will be in the 60s.

A weak cold front approaching from the west, combined with
tropical moisture lifting up the east coast, will bring an
increasing chance of showers or thunderstorms by late in the day.
Increasing cloud cover will hold temperatures down a bit on
Sunday, with highs ranging from the mid 70s over the Laurel
Highlands, to the mid 80s across eastern Pennsylvania.

The front will bring a good chance of showers Sunday night across
eastern Pennsylvania. For Memorial Day, showers may linger across
the eastern counties, while the arrival of high pressure likely
brings dry conditions for the rest of the state.
