MERGE OVER LAKE MICHIGAN TONIGHT AND INTENSIFY. SOUTHERLY WINDS
AHEAD OF THIS SYSTEM WILL CONTINUE TO USHER IN WARMER AIR INTO THE
REGION TODAY...AND TEMPERATURES WILL REACH INTO THE MID TO UPPER
50S. RAIN WILL BE PROMINENT THROUGH ALL OF TODAY AND CONTINUING

HOURS WITH PERIODS OF LIGHT DRIZZLE AND AREAS OF LIGHT RAIN SHOWERS.
TEMPERATURES BY LATE MORNING WERE IN THE LOW TO MID 40S AS SOUTHERLY
WINDS INCREASED TO 10 TO 20 MPH.

THIS AFTERNOON...EXPECT INTERMITTENT SHOWERS AS THE SOUTHERLY WINDS

THE MID 20S TO LOWER 30S. HIGH PRESSURE WILL MOVE OVERHEAD
THURSDAY NIGHT...RESULTING IN CLEAR SKIES AND LIGHT WINDS. THIS
WILL SET THE STAGE FOR VERY COLD TEMPERATURES BY EARLY FRIDAY
MORNING...IN THE MID SINGLE DIGITS TO AROUND 10 OUTSIDE OF
CHICAGO AND LOWER TO MID TEENS IN AND NEAR THE CITY. SOUTHERLY
WINDS WILL DEVELOP ON FRIDAY AS HIGH PRESSURE SLIDES EAST...BUT
TEMPERATURES WILL ONLY RECOVER TO THE UPPER 20S TO LOWER 30S AFTER
THE COLD START TO THE DAY.

CHANGES WILL THEN FINALLY BE IN STORE AS MILDER AIR AND MOISTURE
