...FUNNEL CLOUDS POSSIBLE ACROSS THE AREA THIS AFTERNOON...

THE ENVIRONMENT TODAY IS SUITABLE FOR GENERATING MINIATURE SUPERCELL
THUNDERSTORMS. MINIATURE SUPERCELL THUNDERSTORMS CAN AND DO
OCCASIONALLY PRODUCE FUNNEL CLOUDS. TYPICALLY...THESE PHENOMENA ARE
RATHER WEAK AND SHORT LIVED...AND RARELY GENERATE MUCH IN THE WAY OF
DAMAGE. HOWEVER...IF YOU SEE ONE OF THESE FUNNEL CLOUDS...AND YOU
FEEL YOUR SAFETY IS AT RISK...TAKE IT UPON YOURSELF TO SEEK
APPROPRIATE SHELTER BEFORE CONTACTING YOUR LOCAL LAW ENFORCEMENT
AGENCY SO THEY CAN RELAY YOUR REPORT TO THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE.

CONDITIONS THAT FAVOR FUNNEL CLOUD FORMATION WILL EXIST FOR THE REST
OF THIS AFTERNOON. BE AWARE OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SEEING A FUNNEL
CLOUD...BUT ALSO BE AWARE OF THE MINIMAL SAFETY THREAT THEY PRODUCE.

CONTINUE TO MONITOR NOAA WEATHER RADIO OR OTHER MEDIA OUTLETS FOR THE
LATEST WEATHER INFORMATION.
