...ICY PATCHES STILL PERSIST ACROSS PARTS OF CENTRAL ILLINOIS...

DESPITE THE FACT THAT AIR TEMPERATURES HAVE CLIMBED WELL ABOVE
FREEZING ACROSS CENTRAL ILLINOIS...ICY PATCHES ARE STILL BEING
REPORTED ON UNTREATED SURFACES. THE FROZEN GROUND ACROSS THE AREA
HAS BEEN ABLE TO FREEZE SOME OF THE LIGHT RAIN AND DRIZZLE FALLING
OVERNIGHT.

AS TEMPERATURES CONTINUE TO WARM THIS MORNING...THE THREAT OF ICY
PATCHES WILL DECREASE. HOWEVER...MOTORISTS SHOULD REMAIN ALERT FOR
THE POTENTIAL FOR ICY SPOTS. SLOW DOWN AND ALLOW EXTRA TRAVEL TIME
THIS MORNING.
