AN ALBERTA CLIPPER WILL SPREAD SNOW INTO CENTRAL AND NORTH CENTRAL
PENNSYLVANIA ON TUESDAY...BEGINNING BY DAWN TUESDAY MORNING ACROSS
THE NORTHWEST AND WEST CENTRAL MOUNTAINS AND SPREADING EASTWARD
THROUGH THE MORNING COMMUTE.

AS IS TYPICAL WITH SPRING SNOWFALLS...ACCUMULATIONS WILL BE
ELEVATION DEPENDENT...WITH HIGHER ELEVATIONS AND ESPECIALLY NORTH
FACING SLOPES OF THE WEST CENTRAL AND CENTRAL MOUNTAINS LIKELY TO
SEE 3 TO 5 INCHES OF SNOW. VALLEYS AND THE REST OF CENTRAL AND NORTH
CENTRAL PENNSYLVANIA ARE LIKELY TO SEE BETWEEN ONE AND THREE INCHES
OF ACCUMULATION DUE TO MELTING.

A WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY FOR THESE AMOUNTS IS NOT IN EFFECT AT THIS
TIME...AS ADVISORY CRITERIA REQUIRES COUNTY WIDE AVERAGES OF 3
INCHES OR MORE. FORECAST SNOW AMOUNTS WILL BE FURTHER FINE TUNED
OVERNIGHT...AND AN ADVISORY MAY BE ISSUED IF CONFIDENCE IN HIGHER
AMOUNTS INCREASES FOR MORE HIGHLY POPULATED VALLEY LOCATIONS.

PENNSYLVANIA BEGINNING AROUND MIDDAY TUESDAY AND CONTINUING
THROUGH THE AFTERNOON BEFORE ENDING IN THE EVENING. VALLEY
LOCATIONS WILL LIKELY SEE A RAIN AND SNOW MIX CHANGING TO ALL SNOW
BEFORE ENDING WITH THE HIGHER TERRAIN OF THE POCONOS SEEING
MAINLY WET SNOW. POTENTIAL EXISTS FOR 2 TO 4 INCHES OF SNOW OVER
HIGHER TERRAIN WITH A COATING UP TO AN INCH OR TWO IN THE
VALLEYS...MAINLY ON GRASSY SURFACES.
