RIVERS DRAINING OUT OF THE COASTAL PLAIN...

THE FLOOD WATCH CONTINUES FOR

* ALL RIVERS DRAINING OUT OF THE COASTAL PLAIN.

* THROUGH MONDAY AFTERNOON.

* THE HIGHEST THREAT AREAS WILL BE THE COLVILLE AND SAG RIVERS. A
  FLOOD WARNING IS CURRENTLY IN EFFECT FOR THE NORTHERN DALTON
  HIGHWAY NEAR THE SAG RIVER.

* VERY WARM TEMPERATURES OVER THE BROOKS RANGE AND THE EASTERN
  ARCTIC PLAIN IS CAUSING RAPID SNOW MELT. FURTHER SNOW MELT WILL
  RESULT IN THE COLVILLE...SAG AND KUPARUK RIVER LEVELS REMAINING
  HIGH AND POSSIBLY RISING FURTHER THROUGH MONDAY.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A FLOOD WATCH MEANS THERE IS A POTENTIAL FOR FLOODING BASED ON
CURRENT FORECASTS.

KEEP UPDATED ON THE LATEST FORECASTS AND BE ALERT FOR THE
ISSUANCE OF FLOOD WARNINGS AND ADVISORIES. THOSE LIVING IN AREAS
PRONE TO FLOODING SHOULD BE PREPARED TO TAKE ACTION SHOULD
FLOODING DEVELOP.

ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS TO THE AREA THROUGH MONDAY. LOCALLY HEAVY
RAINFALL IS POSSIBLE OVER THE BLACK HILLS THIS AFTERNOON AND

THE FLOOD WATCH CONTINUES FOR

* PORTIONS OF SOUTH DAKOTA AND NORTHEAST WYOMING...INCLUDING THE
  FOLLOWING AREAS...IN SOUTH DAKOTA...CENTRAL BLACK HILLS...
  CUSTER COUNTY PLAINS...FALL RIVER...HERMOSA FOOT HILLS... NORTHERN
  BLACK HILLS...NORTHERN FOOT HILLS...PENNINGTON COUNTY PLAINS...
  RAPID CITY...SHANNON...SOUTHERN BLACK HILLS...SOUTHERN FOOT
  HILLS...SOUTHERN MEADE COUNTY PLAINS AND STURGIS/PIEDMONT FOOT
  HILLS. IN NORTHEAST WYOMING...SOUTHERN CAMPBELL AND WYOMING
  BLACK HILLS.

* THROUGH MONDAY AFTERNOON

* STORM TOTAL RAINFALL OF ONE TO TWO INCHES ARE EXPECTED ACROSS
  MUCH OF THE BLACK HILLS. SOME AREAS ALONG THE EASTERN SLOPES OF
  THE BLACK HILLS...COULD RECEIVE AS MUCH AS 3 INCHES OF RAIN BY
  MONDAY AFTERNOON.

* SOILS ARE SATURATED AND CREEKS AND STREAMS IN MANY LOCATIONS ARE
  STILL RUNNING HIGH FROM RECENT STORMS...ESPECIALLY ALONG THE
  EASTERN SLOPES OF THE BLACK HILLS AND OVER SOUTHWESTERN SOUTH
  DAKOTA. THE ADDITIONAL RAIN MAY CAUSE MORE FLOODING IN THOSE
  AREAS.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A FLOOD WATCH MEANS THAT FLOODING IS POSSIBLE ALONG RIVERS AND
CREEKS IN THE WATCH AREA...BUT IS NOT IMMINENT. IF YOU ARE IN THE
WATCH AREA...TAKE TIME TO MOVE LIVESTOCK...EQUIPMENT...AND OTHER
PROPERTY FROM LOW LYING AREAS BEFORE FLOODING OCCURS. MONITOR
NOAA WEATHER RADIO AND LOCAL MEDIA FOR UPDATED FORECASTS AND BE
READY TO QUICKLY MOVE TO HIGHER GROUND IF RISING WATER LEVELS ARE
OBSERVED OR A WARNING IS ISSUED.
