Pacific Region over NOAAPORT:
Effective March 22, 2017
Updated to
correct wording from longitude to latitude
The National
Centers for Environmental Prediction (NCEP) is
making a fix to the Global Forecast System (GFS)
model to
correct the number of points in grid 254, Pacific
Region,
on NOAAPORT/SBN. This change will correct the
latitude from
60N
to 65N. The changes will
be made starting with the
12
UTC cycle on Wednesday, March 22, 2017.
The NOAAPORT 20
km grid (id 254) for Pacific Region will be
modified to correct number of points from 692 to 725
on Nj
(number of points along Y-axis). The grid id 254
specification will be as follows:
Current -
grid_20km_pac="10 6 0 0 0 0 0 0 837 692
-45000000
110000000 48
20000000 65720000 270000000 64 0 20000000
20000000”
New -
grid_20km_pac="10 6 0 0 0 0 0 0 837 725
-45000000
110000000 48
20000000 65734500 270000000 64 0 20000000
