Subject: Transfer of Tsunami Products for Puerto Rico and Virgin

Islands from the National Tsunami Warning Center (NTWC)

to the Pacific Tsunami Warning Center (PTWC) Effective

March 1, 2016

In order to improve consistency of services for the Caribbean,

responsibility for Tsunami Watch, Warning and Advisory Messages

and Tsunami Information Statements for Puerto Rico and the U.S.

and British Virgin Islands will be transferred from the National

Tsunami Warning Center (NTWC) to the Pacific Tsunami Warning

Center (PTWC). This transfer will be effective March 1, 2016.
