Subject:  Earlier delivery times for HIRES Window and HREF

          products: Effective January 4, 2017

Effective Wednesday, January 4, 2017, beginning with the 1200

Coordinated Universal Time (UTC) run, the National Centers for

Environmental Prediction (NCEP) will start the High-Resolution

Window Forecast System (HIRESW) slightly earlier in the

production cycle, which will lead to HIRESW products becoming

available up to 20 minutes earlier than they are today.  The

change in data availability time applies uniformly to all

forecast ranges and products, but is domain dependent as

CONUS:  20 minutes earlier

Hawaii: 12 minutes earlier

Guam:   12 minutes earlier

Alaska: 20 minutes earlier

Puerto Rico: 12 minutes earlier

As the High-Resolution Ensemble Forecast (HREF) is triggered by

the completion of the HIRESW, the HREF products (CONUS only)

similarly will be available approximately 20 minutes earlier.
