TODAY. A COLD FRONT APPROACHES FROM THE WEST TONIGHT AND CROSSES THE
WATERS LATE TUESDAY AND TUESDAY NIGHT. HIGH PRESSURE BUILDS IN FROM
THE WEST ON WEDNESDAY, THEN A LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM TRACKS SOUTH OF
LONG ISLAND THURSDAY INTO THURSDAY NIGHT. HIGH PRESSURE RETURNS ON
FRIDAY.
Today: Variable winds less than 5 kt becoming NNW 5 to 8 kt in the morning. Periods of rain. Seas 1 ft or less.
Tonight: NNW wind 9 to 14 kt increasing to 14 to 19 kt after midnight. Periods of rain. Seas 1 to 2 ft.
Friday: WNW wind around 19 kt, with gusts as high as 28 kt. A chance of rain before 8am. Seas around 2 ft.
