Synopsis...HIGH PRESSURE EAST OF NEW ENGLAND WILL SLOWLY MOVE FURTHER OFFSHORE TODAY. A COLD FRONT APPROACHES FROM THE WEST TONIGHT AND CROSSES THE WATERS LATE TUESDAY AND TUESDAY NIGHT. HIGH PRESSURE BUILDS IN FROM THE WEST ON WEDNESDAY, THEN A LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM TRACKS SOUTH OF LONG ISLAND THURSDAY INTO THURSDAY NIGHT. HIGH PRESSURE RETURNS ON FRIDAY.

Today: ENE wind 5 to 9 kt becoming ESE in the morning. Showers likely, mainly after 5pm. Seas 1 ft or less.

Tonight: Variable winds less than 5 kt becoming E 5 to 9 kt in the evening. Showers. Seas around 1 ft.

Thursday: E wind 9 to 13 kt, with gusts as high as 23 kt. Showers likely, mainly before 2pm. Seas around 2 ft.

Thursday Night: ENE wind 5 to 9 kt. A chance of showers before 8pm. Seas 1 to 2 ft.

Friday: ENE wind 5 to 9 kt becoming ESE in the afternoon. A chance of showers after 2pm. Seas around 1 ft.

Friday Night: ESE wind 5 to 8 kt becoming variable and less than 5 kt. A chance of showers. Seas 1 ft or less.

Saturday: W wind 5 to 8 kt increasing to 10 to 13 kt in the afternoon. Partly sunny. Seas 1 to 2 ft.

Saturday Night: NW wind 8 to 13 kt. Mostly clear. Seas 1 to 2 ft.

Sunday: WNW wind 8 to 10 kt becoming W in the afternoon. Mostly sunny. Seas around 1 ft.
