...A FLOOD WARNING FOR SNOWMELT REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 300 PM PDT
FRIDAY FOR OKANOGAN COUNTY...

At 147 PM PDT, flooding was ongoing around Lake Osoyoos and Palmer
Lake. This flooding is expected to continue and potentially worsen
over the next week as increasing temperatures exacerbate snowmelt
and associated runoff into area streams, lakes and rivers. Areas
that suffered from flooding in the last few days, including Salmon
Creek from Conconully to Oroville and the Chewuch River in Winthrop,
can expect renewed flooding threats.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
